The Hindu Student Association (HSA) at Old Scona serves as a vibrant cultural hub where students come together to celebrate, explore, and promote the richness of Hindu traditions, values, and heritage. Through engaging events, meaningful discussions, and educational activities, HSA fosters a sense of belonging and cultural pride among its members, while also creating opportunities for the wider school community to learn about and appreciate Hinduism. The club’s mission is to enrich student life by embracing diversity, encouraging cultural exchange, and fostering understanding within Old Scona’s inclusive environment.
Led by a dedicated team of executives, HSA organises events such as Diwali and Holi celebrations, food sales, and inter-club collaborations like multicultural potlucks. Bi-weekly meetings feature presentations on cultural topics, interactive games like Kahoots, and reflective discussions, ensuring active engagement and shared learning. Past accomplishments include book giveaways to make Hindu texts accessible and successful partnerships with other cultural and service clubs. Looking ahead, HSA aims to enhance the quality and impact of its events while fundraising to support initiatives and give back to the community through school causes like Ignite-a-thon. Committed to its goals, HSA continues to be a key part of cultural vibrancy and inclusivity at Old Scona Academic.
